Hello!
This is one of my favorite holiday photos. What is extra special is that this was my daughter’s first holiday family photo! When I plan out my family’s holiday photos I tend to stick to buffalo check (or plaid) and at the Christmas tree farm. We also do photos at home by our tree in pajamas.
When I look for pieces I want the buffalo check to be seen heavily so I don’t want a coat hiding it. So, I found a dress that is a good length, pockets and long sleeves! Of course, I added a black vest to have some contrast and warmth. Paired with tall boots and a cozy beanie hat! I also put some tights on as well so I’d have a little extra warmth.
For my husband, he has on a buffalo check flannel that I’ve provided a dupe for as well as an option with sherpa inside that could be used more as a jacket! Black jeans are a must in everyones wardrobe and the Sperry boots are the closest I could find to the ones he was wearing!
The kids were in something a little different than shown but what I’ve provide are some very close dupes and alternatives! My son had a sherpa vest that I got at a thrift store and what is shown is a fleece version. Paired is a buffalo check shirt and black sweats because we were outside and sweatpants are good for cuttin trees down with dad! I love the buffalo check hat and gloves so he can stay cozy.
Lastly – my daughter was in a buffalo check onesie with a bear on it – I couldn’t find exactly that but I did find one with the feet covered and in hindsight – I would’ve liked that better because mama forgot socks. I got the black bow hat for her baby shower and they have so many colors! Babies do grow out of hats like these very quickly so you really have to get them wearing these things fast!
