5 Outstanding Makeup Products I Absolutely Swear By

Here’s my brief background on how I came across these makeup items… My mom works at Ulta Beauty [can everyone hear Mary saying “All Things Beauty, All In One Place” – must’ve just been me…]. Anyway, because she works at Ulta my sister and I get the luxury of being gifted several different products ranging from hair supplies to skincare to makeup. That being said, I’ve come up with my Top 5 Makeup Products that I cannot seem to live without. Here you go:

• Better Than Sex Mascara – Too Faced *

  • side note: I cannot say that its better than sex but it sure comes close!
  • Why I like it: I’ve tried several different mascaras and one only other one comes close. This one in particular has a good size brush at the end that has the ability to open up my lashes and really make them sing. So, if you like wide, long, singing lashes; Buy This.

• Outlast All-Day Lip Color – Covergirl *

  • Literally the perfect lipstick that will not come off
  • Why I like it: I really should say – why I love this because I am obsessed with this lipstick and I wish everyone could know about it. Have you ever searched for a lipstick that never comes off until you wash it off? Bet, if you don’t use this lipstick you haven’t found that lipstick. I have tried so many lipsticks, lip stains, lip whatevers in the makeup world and absolutely nothing comes close to how amazing this one is. I get asked all the time if I have reapplied my lipstick after my lunch or in the afternoon and lucky for me – I didn’t have to. Please – I beg you.. try this. You will not be disappointed I guarantee it.

• Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream – Bare Minerals *

  • Why I like it: This really nice thing about this cream is that it is Hydrating. My skin is really dry and stiff so it is nice to put this cream on to give some life to my face. 🙂

• Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush – Too Faced *

  • Why I like it: I’ve always been a fan of the brand Too Faced and so when I came across their blush I was super thrilled. For some reason… it lasts forever!! I really feel like it is never ending blush. It also has a 3-range color so it gives a nice variety to your cheeks. My favorite part? It has a little bit of shimmer to it. Once you get to know me you’ll find out now much I love glitter 🙂

• All It Cosmetics * Makeup Brushes

  • Why I like it: I never used to use different kind of brushes because I didn’t understand why a different brush would do a different task? It’s a brush… Until I was gifted It Cosmetics Brushes. Honestly, I’m obsessed. In Ulta, they even have a ‘petting station’ for the brushes. Yes, if you have see it… you aren’t supposed to pull out the brushes and use them… they are for ‘petting’. Anyways – I love how soft and airy these brushes are and the variety is endless!

One time… I even tried black hair and bangs…

Full disclosure, I am not the type of person who will fall flat on my face if I don’t have makeup on but I do love the occasional beauty routine that I have which includes all of the above cosmetic items. I use these products to enhance the beauty I already have. Anyone saying – “Yeah, sure ya do Rachael…” I was. Honestly, I put on makeup to feel pretty and smooth out the ugly. Some days it works some days… well there is so much ugly you just can’t get rid of that!
