Grab your dancing sandals, your sunglasses and your tissue box because today, we are headed to the beach to witness a groom marrying the most valuable ‘catch’ of his life. Out of all of my absolutely, breathtaking weddings that I have been to I have not once been to a beach wedding! Surprise! I get to check that off my bucket list now.
I am so grateful to call this next couple on the blog two of my closest friends who I met back in college. The two of them are just absolutely perfect for each other; kind, genuine, thoughtful people. Their wedding featured things no, less than perfectly, rustic chic. She who is a delicate butterfly and he who is the hunter of the pair. Perfect match made in foresty heaven. Okay, so I hope those last two sentences made sense because I was trying to tell you how every hunter needs his butterfly.
Sure, Sure moving on to the good stuff (I never said I was a good writer 😉 ) Today, I get to show you all the beautiful details I witnessed at this Upper Michigan wedding I attended. Are you excited to see what we have in store? Here ya go…

The Favors
Sweet White Sunglasses & The Bride & Groom Napkin
The Space
In this picture there is a gentleman preparing dinner for us on a outdoor open face grill. Totally Cool!
Flowers
Free Wine or Sparkling Wine at the Table
Cake – All.The.Cake!
Some Additional Images ( two of them are a bit poor quality)
Highlights
- They provided free drinks throughout the night
- Yard games were available options
- I especially loved their unity ceremony where together they had dirt that they took from both sides and they essentially brought two family trees together.
- Their food was spectacular and felt very much like home cooking
- One of the grooms friends was trying to teach everyone how to ballroom dance. – epic considering none of us really knows how to actually dance.
- I’m 100% obsessed with these favors – We still to this day use the sunglasses AND our bicycle bottle openers!
I love how simple and delicate this wedding was. We had an absolutely blast celebrating our two close friends getting married. I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the details they created for their special day.
