Hi Y’all! I have a post talking all about the products top products that I put on our registry that you can find here. In this particular post I’m going back to that list and pulling out my husband and I’s most used of those products! I am going to touch on each of those items to say why we like and use them so much.
Ingenuity Bassinet
So, a bassinet seems obvious for ‘most used’ but I wanted to pull this one on here because my husband and I are actually very grateful that we asked for this particular bassinet.
Why we like it:
- It’s on wheels!!
- It’s amazing how something as small as having something on wheels can change your experience. We have been able to move this bassinet in and out of the bedroom with ease!
- Great sound options
- Our baby (understanding that not all babies are the same) falls asleep rather easily with the water sound options on this bassinet
- Storage
- We have been able to store extra swaddles, outfits, mittens and various other items in the storage that is available on the side of this bassinet. This makes it easy when waking up in the wee hours of the night!
Any Negatives?:
- I wish it rocked
- This isn’t a negative for the product but a negative for my particular child. My baby has found to loved to be rocked and loves moving so, when our baby fuss’ we have to walk him around or rock him before we put him back in the bassinet. (understanding that we’ve created an unhealthy trend that we are currently trying to fix!)
Peek-a-Boo Cradle & Swing
Why we like it:
- Has 2 different swing positions & 2 different sitting positions
- You’d be surprised what your newborn is into when he/she is crying. At times, August would hate swinging left to right and be super content swinging back to front. We haven’t figured out why yet but we aren’t complaining about the fact that this swing offers both!
Any Negatives?:
- I wish it had a light
- Our baby boy gravitates towards light (again another very specific thing for our child) so, I wish there was a safe light on this swing for August to follow
Britax B-Free Sport Travel System
In my post about my Top Baby Registry Items I talk in depth about this product and I have no negatives at this time or no additional information to mention here!
4Moms Portable Playard
Why we like it:
- Multi-functional
- This is the main reason why we requested this item. We have absolutely loved this product! We currently have it in our living room and use it for afternoon naps as well as when family visits. Our guest room is August’s nursery so when we have guests come up when use the changing feature of this bassinet so we don’t have to disturb their room!
- Very Sturdy
- You don’t need to worry about this product falling apart. It is very well put together
- Portable
- We have not yet had a chance to use this feature because #covid we haven’t gone anywhere. But, soon we will be able to and we can’t wait to bring this along!
Any Negatives?:
- No negatives at this time!
Changing Pad
Why we like it:
- Durable
- We’ve used this with and without a cover and it has held up to the unexpected accidents August has had.
- Several covers work on it!
- In my search for changing pads I found that this one works with a lot of brands so it is easy to find different styles/colors
Any Negatives?:
- No negatives at this time!
Changing Pad Liners
Why we like it:
- Very Protective
- Due to the fact that I got very cute covers I wanted them to last a while before having to put them in the wash so – these work as extra protection for accidents while changing!

Winnie The Pooh Receiving Blanket
Why we like it:
- Warm, Cute and Matches everything!
- You can’t go wrong with this Winnie The Pooh Receiving Blanket! It’s the perfect size and thickness to take everywhere! It also washes really well.
Any Negatives?:
- No negatives at this time!
Lansinoh Nursing Pads
Why we like it:
- Disposable
- These are a MUST when you are breastfeeding.
- If you leak a LOT – like me. These soak up a ton !

Swaddles
I think swaddles are our most used item from our registry aside from the changing station and bassinet! In my opinion, you can’t have too many! We have about 12 different colors and have used them all. My husband and I have used them for: bedtime, keeping him warm (keeping me warm), burp cloth, laying on the floor, or even when I’m pumping. The material they are made from makes for an excellent clean up job. You can’t go wrong.
Why we like it:
- Multifunctional – we use them for everything

- No negatives at this time!
Reusable Diapers
Why we like it:
- Slowly helping the planet!
- They seem to soak up more – or – our baby does not react as intensely when he has a ‘wet’ diaperHe can last a lot longer being in these diapers which is always nice when you’re up at 2am!
Any Negatives?:
- The only negative here is that you have to wash them consistently and then assemble them. So, it’s a little bit more work but I think its worth it!
Glass Bottles
Why we like it:
- They are glass
- I’ve always been a fan of glass over plastic so – these are glass and also the perfect size for the first few months! We’ve also used the caps a lot for traveling.

- No negatives at this time!
Bottle Drying Rack
Why we like it:
- This item has been perfect for our bottles, nipples, and caps! It is also the perfect size & color for our counter.
Any Negatives?:
- No negatives at this time!
Nursing Boppy
Why we like it:
- I originally did not like this item because it just didn’t fit my body right. Then, I was desperate to find something that would help with nursing August because a ton of pillows just wasn’t cutting it anymore. This pillow does take some time to get used to it but in the end it is worth it!
- We also use this to help baby with tummy time!
Any Negatives?:
- It is a little hard to get used to
- I, personally, still need to use a swaddle to lift up baby’s head
Plush Swaddle Blanket
Why we like it:
- This has been a really good item for our baby. It is perfect thing to keep baby warm and it is really cute!
Any Negatives?:
- There is velcro in the inside and in the wrap part of the blanket. Unfortunately, when baby moves so much it does not stay closed.
Boppy Lounger
Why we like it:
- This item is perfect for setting baby on it so he has a different angle than laying flat on the ground. So far our baby has not outgrown this lounger so it has been great!
Any Negatives?:
- The cover does not come off so it isn’t easy to wash. However, My husband accidentally spilled a ton of coffee on it ones and we just put the whole thing in the washer and it cleaned up really well!
Diaper Genie
Why we like it:
- I love that this is skinny! It seems like a weird thing to point out but it really is very helpful to be skinny! We have a very small space and this diaper genie fits perfectly for it.
- I also do not feel like we have had an issue with smell so, this genie holds the smell perfectly!
Any Negatives?:
- No negatives at this time!
Bamboo Wash Cloths
Why we like it:
- Extremely soft! These aren’t a necessity but – if you are looking to buy some wash cloths just for baby – these are a great option!
Any Negatives?:
- No negatives at this time!
4-in-1 Carrier
Why we like it:
- So, currently, this is our only carrier. It is very secure feeling and great fabric!
- It also allows for multiple ways of using it. Currently, we have only used it where baby is facing our chest and when baby is facing the world.
Any Negatives?:
- I wouldn’t say that it is extremely easy to put on when you have to adjust the straps. My husband and I are completely different heights and build so it can be pretty annoying to constantly be changing the straps.
- I would recommend getting two carriers and two different types of carriers.
Toy Basket
Why we like it:
- I LOVE this basket! I realize that it’s just a woven basket but – it is very good quality and I love that it has handles!

- No negatives at this time!
