Getting to throw my best friends bachelorette party… I felt like I just wanted to do all.the.things. It might have been because I was looking forward to her getting married for SO LONG (we met in college in 2012). She lives out of state right now so it was something that really needed to be planned in advance. I told her I wanted nothing more than to throw her THE BEST bridal weekend ever. You can find the bridal shower post HERE.
The bride wasn’t planning on having a bridal party so I decided to team up with our amazing friend to put on a very memorable weekend. The reason we landed on doing a ‘The Bachelor’ themed party was because the bride’s new last name was going to be Rose, she loves the show, and well who doesn’t love roses! We also decided that the bachelorette party was going to be on Saturday and would be well… a bachelorette party 😉 Then, her bridal shower on Sunday would be a sweeter version.
Let’s get into it!

Out On The Town
Dane County Farmer’s Market
- The bride used to live in this area so since she was traveling back we thought we’d hit up some of her favorite places. The Dane County Farmer’s Market is America’s largest producer’s only farmer’s market. It wraps around our capitol building and has an amazing vibe. It was a no brainer to start the weekend there.
Lunch at Canteen
- This is one of the best restaurants in the Madison area. It is a small Mexican restaurant just off the capitol square. One of the things that makes them unique is they offer these Duritos which are puffed wheat wagon wheels with chile-lime tajÃn spice! It’s a must try if you are in the area!
Drinks at The Merchant (Before) & Eno Vino (After)
- Ok The Merchant was one of the prettiest bars I’ve ever been to! It definitely had a really cool vibe. Since I was pregnant during this time I had to get a mocktail but they even had a list of options for mocktails which I really liked! Eno Vino I have been to before and loved it so thought we could go there for post dinner drinks. They were pretty busy but luckily we got a cozy spot on the roof and got a beautiful view of the city!
Dinner at Graze
- Alright alright, if we are talking about a view… This restaurant is located on the Capitol Square and has hugeee windows so you can get the best view no matter your seat. Oh yeah and they have delicious food!! I got the mac n cheese because I’m really a child inside when it comes to eating and it was so rich and divine!
Spa Time
Finally, my favorite part of the party! When you attend a Bachelorette/Bachelor party the host sometimes gives gifts (favors) to the guests for attending. These gifts can be things like sunglasses, makeup bags, hangover remedies, chapstick, bridesmaid-y things etc. Due to the fact that some of the girls had already received these items from another friends wedding I wanted to come up with something different so that we wouldn’t have duplicate items.
My mom currently works for Ulta Beauty so I came up with the idea that we would do a Spa moment when we came home from out on the town. I wanted us all to get in our jammies and get comfortable for the night besides, who doesn’t love to be pampered? So, I teamed up with my mom to design this ‘Rose Beauty Cart’.
Bachelorette Rose Beauty Cart
We tried to have all the items be red (or pink) and be as close to rose as possible. The top of the cart was all the things we’d do as soon as we got back to the house.
The cart that I used is no longer available but I found an alternative one on Amazon here
I put real roses on the cart with a framed quote saying ‘A Rose does not answer its enemies with words, But with Beauty’
**Most of these items can be purchased at Ulta Beauty however, I have provided Amazon Links below.

The Food
As you will soon discover – anytime I plan a party I tend to go overboard for food. I try to accommodate all sorts of interests for my guests and most of the time it turns out to be way too much food. That being said, for this party I decided to be a little bit conservative for the food because we had already been eating all day.
- Chips & taco dip
- Rose shaped jello shots
- The mold I got from Amazon is here but I found a different one Rose Shaped Ice Cube Mold that you can use for both the jello shots and ice!
- Rosé sitting in rose bud ice
- Since I was pregnant – I asked all the girls to bring their chosen beverages
- Rose Shaped Ice Cube Mold
- Naughty cookies
- My friend got these from Etsy but unfortunately no longer available. These can definitely be homemade with a cookie cutter though!
- Strawberry, Marshmallow, & Brownie Skewers
- When I was making these I ran out of time so they are (in my opinion) a Pinterest Fail. But the idea was there. I just needed more time. Tip: instead of making brownies – just get a pack of premade brownie bites and skewer those!
- Standard red paper plates and napkins like these here on Amazon
- Naughty straws, confetti, and crown for bride can be found at this Etsy Shop –> EarlesFolly
Bachelorette Party Decorations
Everything else we had throughout the living space was centered around red and roses.
- Red Balloons
- Rose Balloons
- Rose Backdrop for behind the food table
- Red Sequin Tablecloth
- Rose Garland
- Same D For Eternity Banner
- This actually was made by my friend. I actually think it would be super easy to make with a Cricut Machine if you have one!
- Lingerie Banner
- Black Underwear Garland
- This was a take home gift for the Bride; all black underwear in brides size
- She got the final rose Banner
- White R-O-S-E Marquee Light Up Letters
- Rose Garland
- We hung garland on my cabinets and bathroom – they were really cute, dainty roses.
- Naughty doorway curtain
- Rose Petals
- Decorative Red Pillow Cases 16×16
- Naughty Bath Soaps
- I didn’t get a good image of these but they were on the table next to our Groom’s photo
- Bachelorette Signs were made using Canva app
We then placed ‘The Bachelor’ signs/quotes throughout the living room, bathroom and where the girls were saying. They really completed the party theme! We also added a picture of the groom on one of the tables. To be honest it kind of looked like a funeral table with the rose and his picture but – it made for a hilarious moment.
The Games
Drop Your Panties
This game is extremely easy, gets everyone involved, and the bride benefits from a whole new underwear collection! You simply have each guest pick out a brand new pair of panties that describes their personality. When the guests arrive, everyone puts the panties in a basket and the bride has to guess who brought each pair. To make it interesting, you can encourage the bride to take a shot if she guess’s wrong.
We had one of the girls bring a vibrator panty and other guest brought a big pack of cotton undies so you really don’t know what you’ll see! Makes for a very fun memory
Bra Pong
Ok, this one is SUPER FUN. My friend who helped me with this party is a HUGE diy’er so she decided to whip this board together for our Bra Pong game. All she did was get a board, put some construction paper on it to make it go with our theme and then adhered the bras to it. All the bras were purchased at Shein.com but you can also go to any store and get bras of your choice!
Tip: you want to get bras that have a good cup size to it so that the ball can actually make it into the cup.
After the board is made you just play ‘ping pong’ any way you’d like! We had so much going on that night that we just ended up tossing the ping pong balls at it for fun while we did our beauty face masks!
Naughty Printable Games
Bachelorette parties are supposed to have a little bit of a naughty side right? Our bride has specific requests to not make it too over the top in this department so we just dabbled in a few things here and there. My friend found this etsy shop that does a ton of different printable games. You can find these games and other options at this Etsy Shop –> OhHappyPrintables so she picked 3 different ones and we played those!
Gift for the Bride
For some reason, I have come up with a rule of thumb for when I host where someone always has to get a gift. I’m not sure where this came from but now I can’t not get someone something. Luckily – our bride is easy to gift to. So, I decided to get her a sweet care package of all things sexy-time. Normally, for this party or for a bridal shower I would gift things that have ‘bride-to-be’ on it because it can be a little difficult to buy those things for yourself (as the bride).
Because she wasn’t interested in those types of items I decided to go the route of lingerie because well – it’s a bachelorette party. I got things like – a black cami & short set, rhinestone tights, black bra & panty set, a black robe, and my personally favorite – fertility tea; because we need more babies in our group of friends.
- Gift Bag
- Final Rose Dog Bandana
- This was something that my friend got her because they are both dog parents <3
On top of that… The bride then gifted all of us a personal tumbler that matched our personalities. For example, she got me a leopard print tumbler and I am obsessed.
In Conclusion
The bride has voiced that she had the best time ever at her bachelorette party and couldn’t have asked for better! The memories we created on this day will truly last a lifetime and I was so thrilled to have been able to celebrate such a beautiful soul.
